Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

Without knowing a single thing about the film series due to never seeing the previous three, I decided to give this a go. It certainly did not disappoint with plenty of action to last a life time.
Outstanding performance from Tom Cruise throughout. It contains action, humour and emotion. I actually really enjoyed this and will no doubt be getting the past three.
When Ethan Hunt's unit is shut down due to a bombing of the Kremlin in Russia, him and his team must pull out all the stops by going rouge and clearing their name and proving their innocence.
4/5 for excellent fighting sequences and stunts
Rating 12A
Also starring Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Jeremy Renner and Tom Wilkinson
A fan of the series will surely enjoy this thrilling instalment with the possibility of more to come.
Thanks for reading.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Just like the first one I absolutely loved this film having seen it twice already. It was full of everything you love from the first. Just like the ad says it was bigger, better and funnier.
Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are a brilliant team and their chemistry is shown every scene.
Pretty much picks up where the first left off with Irene Adler working for the mysterious Professor Moriaty and Sherlock catching on to his plans and trying to figure him out like he does with everything. The danger this time is that Moriaty is just as clever as Holmes is.
5/5 for just pure genius
Rating 12A
Also starring Rachel McAdams, Jared Harris, Noomi Rapace and Stephen Fry as Mycroft Holmes
Any current fan is sure to love and be hooked on and beg for more.
Without giving too much away so far. Please go see this no matter who you are as I'm sure you will love it. It would help to see the first one before this.
Thanks for reading.

Dream House

I entered the cinema not knowing anything about this film, no idea what to expect. I was very interested in it while it was getting started. It all became very confusing.
Will has decided to quit his job and spend more time with his family in their home in New England. He soon discovers that his home was was the location of a family being murdered with the only survivor being the dad Peter Ward. Will's 2 children mention that they keep seeing a face in the window. He tries to discover who this is and what is going on around his home. A dark twisted outcome follows this.
3/5 for enjoyable twisted thriller
Rating 15
Starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts.
An interesting movie that will require a lot of thinking. If you like me don't understand it to start off with like your friends then don't worry it will come to you :)
Thanks for reading and apologies for no reviews in the last few weeks

Paranormal Activity 3

This was one of the most horrifying films I have ever seen along with the previous 2. I was positively scared ********.
It was just brilliant and really showed exactly what childhood was like for Katie and Kristi. It wasn't exactly what you would expect from the others and wasn't in anyway predictable.
It starts off with the children's mum Julie and her boyfriend Dennis noticing strange goings on in the house all though it appears Julie is in denial about it while Dennis is fascinated by it. It all seems to be linked with Kristi and her imaginary friend Toby.
Throughout the movie even more strange goings on persist in their house in terrifying ways.
3/5 for one of the three scariest movies I have ever seen.
Rating 15
Starring Lauren Bittner, Chloe Csengery, Jessica Tyler Brown, Christopher Nicholas Smith and Sprague Grayden and Katie Featherspoon.
If you liked the Paranormal Activity and Paranormal Activity 2 then you shall love this.
Thanks for reading and please leave comments with your opinion of the film.

Johnny English Reborn

I looked so forward to this film and hoped that it could live up to the first film. It was absolutely brilliant and and yes it did I believe so. Absolute comedy genius from Rowan Atkinson who never fails to disappoint. I as well as the audience found this hilarious.
Agent English has been away for quite some time after a failed mission that made him a laughing stock of MI7. Now they need him back for a mission.
Johnny provides humour "intelligence" and pure genius ahem.
His usual stupid self throughout but he has gained a little intelligence.
4/5 for just brilliant and I loved every minute
Rating 12A
Also starring Dominic West, Gillian Anderson, Rosamund Pike, Richard Schiff and Daniel Kaluuya.
Although no cast from the previous movie appear (except Ben Miller (Bough) apparently but I don't remember seeing him) it was still great.
Please go see this as some of the one liners and situations that Johnny says and gets put in are just so funny and if your a fan of the original then you will love this.

Crazy Stupid Love

I really enjoyed this film and thought it was brilliant. Very funny and good fun. Clever story line and brilliant plot. Cal finds out his wife Emily has slept with another man and is now getting a divorce. He doesn't take this well and spends most evenings drinking at the local bar complaining about his wife. A womaniser named Jacob vows to help him find his way again with women. He wants to use this to make his wife jealous as as she is who he really wants to be with.
4/5 for brilliantly funny
Rating 12A
Starring Steve Carrell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore and Emma Stone.
Definitely recommend that people go see this as it is a very harmless yet rudly funny. Thanks for reading and let us know what you think of this movie.

Warrior

This film was absolutely brilliant. It really was all the Rocky's rolled into one. Whether I would say it was better than Rocky is a totally different matter but none the less this was brilliant.
Packed with awesome fight scenes and emotional moments, this film has it all.
2 brothers both have first hand experience in the UFC and MMA so when a big competition called Sparta with a $5,000,000 prize comes along then of course they both enter. Fighting their way through the competition and the challenges life has this proves to be an incredible journey.
5/5 for a pure knockout performance.
Rating 12A
Starring Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, Nick Nolte, Jennifer Morrison, Frank Grillo and Kevin Dunn. Great cast for a great movie.
I thought that Tom Hardy's performance was exceptional within and I really believed in his character. The commitment the actor made to make this movie really showed. He truly is a great up and coming actor that I would say has now made it big time.
Fan of the Rocky's then see this, fan of MMA then see this or a fan of action and violence then sure as hell see this.
Thanks for reading and more to come very soon

Final Destination 5

Well I have to say I think they have officially over done it and with a possible 2 more on the way now is the time to stop before the franchise becomes stale. I didn't exactly have high expectations for this movie but still expected to enjoy it which I suppose I did.
I found myself considerably different watching this one than the previous 4 where it could actually be scary, gruesome and thrilling. This time round it certainly was gruesome but very humourous. Me and my friend were basically laughing every time someone was killed because of how unlikely it was to happen and how dramatic the scene was. As if tripping over would cause you to fall out a double glazed high storey building, I mean really? I will say this, I found it very cringy and pulse racing leading up to a death.
3/5 for entertaining but predictable.
Rating 15
Starring Nicholas D'Agosto, Emma Bell, PJ Byrne, Arlen Escarpeta and Tony Todd
I am sure you will enjoy the special surprise twist towards the end.
Enjoy watching but don't expect anymore than you got in the previous 2
Thanks for reading.

One Day

An interesting film between 2 friends who travel through life with their ups and downs and facing the struggles of life together.Emma and Dexter have graduated and now become close friends. Through the next 20 years on the 15th July the film shows where they are in their life at this current point.
Clever romantic novel transformed into a splendid movie with acting from Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess that really make you believe in the characters but at some points Jim appears boring and dull but Anne pulls off a believable British accent.
I very much liked this movie throughout and it was exactly what i expected. Throughout times i was slightly confused and fazed but it didn't take long for me to get stuck in the plot again.
Also starring Tom Mison, Jodie Whittaker, Tim Key and Rafe Spall.
3/5 for a enjoyable movie but disappointing conclusion.
Please judge for yourself whether this is as good as it has been hyped up.

The Inbetweeners Movie

What an absolute laugh. God damn hilarious. Me and the rest of the audience surely found it awesome. A great laugh with all the things we've become to love from watching the TV series.
Will, Jay, Simon and Neil have finished sixth form so decide to go a "mental holiday" where they can get drunk, meet girls and get ****
When they arrive they discover that they are to stay at a god awful hotel. Nevertheless they make do and hit the town. Laughs throughout with classic one liners from Will and Jay. Funny brainless moments from Neil and hilarious idiotic moments from Simon.
5/5 for OMG jaw dropping things that make you think can they really get away with that.
Rating 15
Starring Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison.
I loved each and every moment of the movie and was gutted when it ended but totally worth the few hours wait to get tickets.
Great film for any teenager or adult familiar with the TV series. I recommend seeing the 3 series first but am sure you'll love it either way.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the movie.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

This was a fantastic attempt at rebooting the franchise we all know and love and lets us discover how it all began for the apes. All though not a direct prequel from the 2001 Planet of the Apes still a great movie. I really enjoyed watching this and learning how one ape can change civilisation completely.
Will a scientist in San Francisco is developing a medicine to cure Alzheimer's disease and they are testing it on apes. This causes the apes to increase intelligence of that of a human. One of the apes goes on a rampage and is killed but when they discover that she thought they would harm their new born baby, Will takes the baby ape  whom he names Caesar home with him to look after and test. After a fair few years they realise that he needs to spend time with more apes and is sent to a home for apes. He is mistreated their by the workers and the other apes.
Great plot which leaves it open for a sequel. Finally an Ape film that truly is great.
4/5 for awesome primate movie
Rating 12A
Starring James Franco, Frieda Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton and Andy Serkis
I certainly recommend going to see this and ensure you that you won't be disappointed.
Thanks for reading, more coming soon.

Super 8

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I thought that throughout the process leading up to the films release the secret was concealed very well with no spoilers which constantly made me think what is it and even within the film the secret is very well kept. Flawless and believable plot with some new up and coming child actors.
Set in 1979 a group of friends are creating their own Super 8 movie when a train derails, releasing a dangerous presence into their town. They witness the entire thing but not what was released and are sworn to secrecy. Continuing their day to day lives strange things begin to happen, unexplainable things such as people going missing and local dogs being found at not so local towns. But them being kids they become curious and want to learn more.
4/5 for classic in the making
Rating 12A
Starring Joel Courtney, Elle Fanning, Kyle Chandler and Riley Griffiths.
Will bring memories back of movies from around this era. A gripping and exciting plot that will have you wanting more.
Thanks for reading and enjoy.

Mr Popper's Penguins

I found this to be very humorous in classic Jim Carrey style. Although some may say that they actually thought the penguins themselves were the funniest which I do agree with but I can't take anything away from Carrey he is always funny the only way he knows how like he is in previous movies.
Mr Popper (Carrey) is a successful business man who throughout his childhood felt neglected by his father as he travelled the world and rarely saw his son. He learns of his fathers death and that he has been left 6 penguin. Although to start with he is unkeen on them, he learns to love them along with his children. This brings the family closer together and drags him away from thinking just about his job.
3/5 for gentle humour
Rating PG
Starring Jim Carrey, Carla Gugino, Madeline Carroll, Maxwell Perry Cotton and Angela Lansbury.
Great family fun entertainment for all ages. An enjoyable film with lots of laughs. I recommend this for family's wishing to take young children up until teenagers.
Thanks for reading.

Captain America: The First Avenger

Marvel rarely fail to disappoint and once again another fantastic edition with the birth of Captain America. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this when I first saw small and skinny Steven Rogers trying to join the US Army in WW2 but when it started to pick up it got very good very quickly.
Set in 1942, Red Skull is developing a deadly weapon with the plan to conquer the world that is until the US create an elite team of super soldiers including Captain America himself. They take the battle directly to Red Skull in Europe in order to go toe to toe with his army.
4/5 for classic Marvel superhero action
Rating 12A
Starring Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving and Tommy Lee Jones.
Fantastic action with unexpected surprises. Introduces the young Howard Stark (father of Iron Man) as a genius engineer. Spectacular effects which are emphasised in 3D
Go see this and enjoy.
Thank you so much for reading and more to come soon.

Horrible Bosses

I completely loved this movie as I knew I would. Great humour throughout and a fantastic script. I also thought the cast was fantastic and worked very well. Very believable and makes make me thankful that i don't have a boss like one of those.
Nick (Bateman) has been getting to work at 6am to prove to his boss Harken (Spacey) that he deserves the promotion going but when he gives the promotion to himself this really ***** Nick off. Dale's (Day) boss Julia (Aniston) constantly sexually harasses him during treatments to patients and in the office at the dental office, grabbing his area and trying to create sexual situations which clearly aren't seducing him in any way as he recently has got engaged. Kurt (Sudeikis) completely hates his boss Bobby (Farrell) who doesn't give a damn about the business and wants to fire all the fat and disabled people.
"Hypothetically" they mention killing their bosses until they realise that actually that's a brilliant idea.
Hilarious throughout, bound to make you chuckle
5/5 for me just plain awesome.
Rating 15
I recommend seeing this as It's a great laugh and will make you all see that actually your own boss isn't that bad.
Thanks for reading.

Cars 2

Walking into this film I did feel slightly out of place with many children around. Nevertheless I really enjoyed it. Even better than the first with the main focus being on Mater instead of Lightning McQueen although he was a major part of the film.
McQueen returns from winning yet another Piston Cup and his best friend Mater is very pleased he is back as he doesn't go along with him to the race tournaments. With the first ever World Grand Prix coming up McQueen brings Mater along to be part of his pit crew. Mater somehow manages to get himself involved with British Intelligence and then this is where it really picks up.
People of all ages are bound to enjoy. Don't forget the fantastic Toy Story short before the movie picking up from where Toy Story 3 left us.
4/5 for friendly entertainment.
Featuring the voices of Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine, Eddie Izzard, Emily Mortimer and Bonnie Hunt.
Another great addition to the Pixar collection.
Take the entire family to see it and I'm sure you'll all enjoy it.
Thank you for reading and expect more soon

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

After 10 years, the moment we've all been waiting for has come and I can tell you this, it truly was what words cannot describe. I loved each and every minute of it. One of the most action packed and emotional films I have ever seen. I also wish this moment had never come because as of today, no more Harry Potter movies. This is officially the end of a fantastic era.
5/5 for drop dead amazing, superb and stunning.
Rating 12A
It literally picks up straight from where Part 1 left off with Lord Voldemort discovering the Elder Wand and Harry saying goodbye to Dobby. Harry, Hermione and Ron continue their quest to find the remaining Horcruxes while Voldemort now hunts Harry Potter. This sees them return to Hogwarts. Most action ever out of any of the previous movies. Much different than Part 1 which was building up to this. We say hello to characters from previous movies, such as Professor McGonagall, Seamus Finnigan, Cho Chang, Dean Thomas, Professor Slughorn and many more.
Please go and see this movie and witness the end of all our favourite film series.
Guaranteed to make you happy, sad and excited.
The amount of people at the cinema at midnight dressed as characters from the movies, wearing 3D Harry Potter glasses and over 300 people just as excited as I was.
Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham Carter, Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon and many more.
Thanks for reading the review for the final Harry Potter movie and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. Feel free to comment on what you though.

Larry Crowne

A very light hearted comedy about a student (Hanks) and professor (Roberts) who fall for each other. Not the greatest plot in the world but in general it's quite enjoyable. A story of a man who loses his job because he never went to college, he realises then that he should take up a class that will give him lifetime skills. He develops a new life style, makes new friends and learns to love his life once more.
3/5 for romantic comedy
Rating 12A
Starting Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and George Takei
Enjoyable film but nothing particularly special. Veteran actors Hanks and Roberts truly make this what it is.
I would recommend seeing this for an enjoyable night out but don't expect anything amazing.
Thanks for reading.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

I absolutely 100% loved this film. It was superb and better than the other 2 Transformers for sure. It had plenty of action, destruction and humour to entertain anyone. Even though Megan Fox didn't play Shia's love interest on the film, it didn't matter because to be honest you will sit there and totally forget about her. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley plays Carly, his new girlfriend, before the film I was a bit irritated they chose her as she has no acting experience but she was fantastic for the role.
5/5 for pure amazing
Rating 12A
Sam has finished college but is struggling to get a job in the world, this frustrates him because while he's unemployed, the auto bots are out there doing something that matters, including Bumble Bee. He learns of a secret that the government kept secret since 1969 and this could become their downfall if the Decepticons learn of it. At first the Autobot's are angry this was kept for them but they unite once more to protect Earth.
Also starring Patrick Dempsey, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Ken Jeong
Absolutely spectacular graphics and the 3R effect really is the icing in the cake for me.
Please go see this and complete the trilogy. If you haven't seen the others I suggest you go out and buy them, which you should love and then go see this must see action blockbuster.
Thankyou for reading and more to come soon, enjoy.

Green Lantern

Ryan Reynolds portrays Hal Jordan as he becomes one of the Green Lanterns. I really enjoyed myself watching this much anticipated film.
Another of the classic comics turned into a possible movie franchise. It's slightly hard to explain what it is about without ruining any of it. Basically he gets chosen to be a green lantern by a dying lanterns ring which holds their power. He believes the ring has made a mistake because but the lanterns claim it never makes a mistake. He must join the lanterns to fight the evil source fear powered by parallax.
4/5 for great comic superhero action
Rating 12A
Starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Mark Strong, Geoffrey Rush, Peter Sarsgaard and Clancy Brown.
Another great comic book adaptation from DC that will hopefully evolve into a series.
Thanks for reading and continuing to do so.

Bad Teacher

I went into the cinema looking forward to this and it didn't disappoint me. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Cameron Diaz performs her role as the "Bad Teacher" very well. She really doesn't care about teaching the children unless it benefits her.
4/5
Rating 15
It starts off with Elizabeth Halsey (Diaz) leaving the school after just one year. She arrives home to her fiancé to discover that he is leaving her and she won't have anymore of his money. So she re joins the school when the new year starts. She genuinely just doesn't care about teaching by letting the kids watch movies until she decides she needs a boob job and that there is a big bonus for the class with the best grades. She then decides to actually teach them. Hilarity throughout.
Featuring Justin Timberlake, Jason Segel, Lucy Punch and John Michael Higgins.
I'm sure anyone who went to school or any teachers will really enjoy this. I surely recommend that if your looking for a laugh you go see this.
Thanks for reading more coming soon.

X-Men: First Class

Considering I haven't seen the other 4 X-Men films I throughly enjoyed this one. I knew a little about Magneto and Professor X, so everything that happened it all made sense as it's a prequel. I don't have anything to compare it too and people have told me it won't be any good without Wolverine but I think it was a great movie with a lot of action and intensity.
The film starts off with Eric (Magneto), and Charles (Professor X) as children and how they discovered their powers. It shows their journey to becoming men and learning to use their powers and how they eventually meet. It turns out that they become good friends as they form a team to fight Shaw the mutant villain.
4/5 for great Prequel l
Rating 12A
Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Bacon and Rose Byrne.
Fantastic prequel and I now intend to watch the others and something that will make fans happy is Wolverine making an appearance.
Thanks for reading and apologies for no recent reviews.

The Hangover Part 2

This truly has to be the funniest film I have seen this year. It was an absolute sensational sequel as good as the first. It literally had me laughing from start to finish. Once again it follows the same sort of plot as the first with unexpected moments and hilarious moments.
5/5 stars for funniest film of 2011 so far
Rating 15
This time it is Stu that is getting married to a girl from Thailand, this is where the wedding is due to take place. Initially Stu doesn't want a Bachelor party but the guys, Phil, Alan and Doug convince him too one drink and to bring along his future brother in law 16 year old Teddy. This of course doesn't happen when they find themselves in a horrible grimy hotel in the middle of Bangkok and no idea of what happened the night before. In a race against time to find Teddy before the wedding they require the help of Alan's plus one Me Chow. Hilarious moments throughout.
I recommend any sane person go see this and even  the insane ones. I personally can't wait to see it again and do it all over again. I have seen it twice and it is just as good second time round.
Please let me know what you thought about it and what ?/5 you would give, enjoy.

Insidious

This truly is one of the scariest movies I have seen. Something's happen that you just can't believe, and are so frightening that at one point I considered leaving.
Renai and Josh Lambert move into a new house with their three children. One day 8 year old Dalton(one of their children) falls into a coma like state, although doctors don't know what to call it. Renai starts to notice suspicious things going on in the house that start to scare her and she doesn't think Josh believes her. So scared they decide to move house where they discover the house wasn't haunted their son is.
At one point I did start to think this is stupid and laugh a little but it had me wanting to look at the floor to get away from it. Overall a terrifying film that should scare anyone.
Rating 15
3/5 stars for terrifying and frightening
Starring Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Barbara Hershey, Ty Simpkins and Lin Shaye
Go see this now for a horrifying experience, this defines the word horror.
Thanks for reading this scary edition and continue to follow to read about the latest releases.

Attack the Block

Overall this wasnt a great film. Some terrible acting that actually made the film humorous in it's own way but in general not too good. Some of the one liners and the stuff the kids on the streets did and how they were talking was funny but this didnt make up for a bad plot.
2/5 for poor plot and acting
Rating 15
An alien crashes from the sky and the kids on the block do not like this, so they decide to kill it. This makes them targets of much worse aliens (dog/wolf like monsters). They come to the conclusion that they need to protect their block in order to survive and fight back.
I was slightly disappointed by Nick Frost's role as he wasn't as involved in the film as much as I thought he would be. In the scenes that he does feature in he is funny like most roles he plays.
Definitely potential for some young British actors to improve but work is needed.
I wouldn't recommend seeing this over other films out at the moment but it's worth a go if your looking for something to do.
In my opinion it doesn't have anything on Shaun of the Dead, what some people are comparing it too.
Thanks for reading and continuing to check out the blog.

Pirates of the Caribbean : On Stranger Tides

One word to describe this film AMAZING. I absolutely loved it, and would say it is just as good as the rest even with a different director. It absolutely did not disappoint. The obvious witty Jack is once again a hillarious pirate. Beautiful locations and a great cast with Johnny Depp, Penolope Cruz, Ian McShane and Geoffrey Rush.
The film starts with Jack and Gibbs in London with the map to the fountain of youth. Captain Barbossa who now works for the King of England is after the map, as is Captain Blackbeard and his daughter. All searching for it with the help of Jacks compass and Gibbs with the map, they search for it and the pieces needed to complete it. Hilarious moments throughout. Fantastic plot and great cast. What more could you want.
5/5 stars for a great plot and superb acting
Rating 12A
I would recommend this film to everyone. Can't personally imagine why you wouldn't enjoy it.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the movie if it is for you.
More coming in the near future.......

Fast Five

I loved this film, I thought it was awesome. Fantastic edition to the franchise, and possibly the best one yet. Like the others of course there is racing involved into the plot, although racing takes a step back and they use the cars for more of chasing than racing.
If you wanna see a film with action, laughs, cars and guns then this is the one for you.
It picks up straight from where Fast and Furious left us and it has an explosive start. Dom, Mia and Brian are all wanted by America so where better to go than Rio. What they didn't anticipate was Luke Hobbs, an elite agent who will stop at nothing to complete the mission of capturing and arresting them. Dom, Mia and Brian get a bunch of friends from previous movies to help them in their final job so they don't have to keep running for the rest of their lives.
Rating 12A
4/5 stars for just a plain amazing movie
I recommend this to anyone and everyone, it really was that good. Everything a Fast and Furious movie should be and more.
Starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Up there with the best of the best for car films.
Thanks for reading and please do go see this and let me know what you thought of it.

Arthur

What a laugh this film was. So glad that I decided to go see this. Although I'm not a massive fan of Russell Brand, I really did find him funny. He plays the childlike billionaire Arthur. What started to make me laugh was the voice that he put on to sound funny and innocent. Some of the little comments and outstanding scenes really will make you chuckle.
The film starts with Arthur causing havok in the city making his rich business woman mother look bad. He is given an ultimatum, marry a respectable, smart and beautiful woman or lose the money. The thing is he isnt attracted to her. This isn't so much a problem for him until he meets another woman that he starts to actually fall for.
Gurranteed to get you laughing out loud.
Also starring Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, Greta Gerwig and Geraldine James
4/5 stars for clever and humorous acting.
Rating 12A
I recommend you go and see this even if your not keen on Comedian Russell Brand, I'm sure it will make you laugh and see the brighter side of life.

SCRE4M

Another fantastic edition to the Scream series. A film I really looked forward to which did not disappoint. Like the others the film is as thrilling as ever and filled with suspense. Unlike the others the rules have completely changed so everything you thought you knew from the others is irrelevant.
Sidney returns home to Woodsboro on the 15th Anniversary of the original murders and along with friends Dewey and Gale are stalked by a masked killer. Featuring lots of blood and gore.
Don't want to reveal too much, so gonna keep the review short.
All I shall say is to go and see it if your a fan of the series, if you haven't seen the others then watch them first before you see this. Will make you laugh, scream and for some even cry.
Rating 15
4/5 stars for suspense throughout.
Starring Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts and Roger Jackson as the voice of ghostface.

Your Highness

A film that is guaranteed to make you laugh if you don't mind offensive language and sex references. It literally made me laugh so much.
Danny Mcbridge is one of the funniest and talented men on the big screen. Many of the one liners and comments he makes truly made me chuckle.
He plays a chubby and lazy prince called Thadeous who likes to just relax in the castle and enjoy an easy life and leave all the tough and dangerous quests to his older brother Fabious, the heir to the throne. When the heir's fiancé gets kidnapped, Thadeous is forced to accompany his brother on the quest to rescue her. Non-stop and outrageous laughs throughout the journey.
4/5 for absolute jaw dropping laughs.
Rating 15
Also starring James Franco and Natalie Portman.
A fantastic movie definitely worth seeing.

An extremely intense and thrilling movie. I thought it was fantastic.
It took some time to understand what was going on but about half hour in and it got really good. I recommend everyone see this great movie. I enjoyed it and would definitely watch it again.

Limitless

I found this film very confusing to understand what exactly was going on to start with but it didn't take too long to figure out what was happening. A very enjoyable thrilling movie.
It really makes you wonder what life could be like for yourself if you had such a pill. I would recommend you see this film. A couple of laughs throughout as well. Bradley Cooper plays the role really well, as Edward Morra, a struggling writer with not much to live for, discovers this pill which let's you access 100% of your brain. His life starts to get better and things start happening for him. This all starts to change when he realises the side effects of the pill. Will this become life threatening or will he be able to handle it.
Also starring Abbie Cornish and Robert De Niro.
3/5 stars for thrilling
Rating 15
Fantastic film from the start to the end.

Hall Pass

This is so hillarious. Some of the things that happened and were said made me laugh just by how outrageous they were. Absolutely awesome film. Shows what men and women can be like if given a week off from marriage. I really enjoyed myself while watching this, it was just so damn funny throughout. I extremely recommend that any sane human go see this as I no doubt will again.
Rating 15.
5/5 for an absolute laugh all the way.
Basically Rick and Fred are obsessed with sex, so their wives decide to give them a Hall Pass (a week off marriage) where they can do whatever they want with whoever they want as if they were single again. Straight away the guys think that it will be easy to get women to sleep with them but they soon realise it is a lot harder than they remember. Whereas their wives decide that they deserve the same and for them it isn't too difficult. A hillarious plot with so many funny actors/actresses including Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Richard Jenkins, Stephen Merchant and many other big funny stars.
You would be mad not to see this.
I know it sounds like I'm advertising the movie but it really was that funny and what every guy might dream of.
Thanks for reading.
These will continue to come.

Battle: Los Angeles

Absolutely wicked film. Great war type film with lots of action from start to finish. As soon as it starts the film gets into the main plotline very quickly. Really good believable acting from the entire cast portraying US Marines and civilians.
At times very emotional which may bring a tear or two to your eye.
I really enjoyed this film for the entire 2 hours.
Any war/extra terrestrial fan will enjoy.
5/5 stars for a mixture of things (emotion, action and intensity to name a few)
12A contains strong language and violence.
Marine Staff Sergeant Michael Nantz decides it is time to call it a day until aliens strike LA and him and his Platoon are forced into action to rescue civilians and get them to safety. Untimately it is up to them to stop this attacking force before all they have ever known is destroyed.
Cast includes Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez.
Must see film that is up there with the likes of Independance Day and District 9.
Thankyou for continuing to read.
More coming very soon.

Unknown

One thing to describe this film, excellent. I really enjoyed this from start to finish as it makes you really think and at times was confusing, but overall an awesome film.
5/5 for intensity.
Rating 12A
Liam Neeson plays his character Dr Martin Harris really well. He is an amazing actor.
He awakes from a coma only to discover that another man has taken his identity. Even worse, his wife doesn't remember who he is. He must try to discover what has happened while he has been in a coma for 4 days and why his wife hasn't been looking for him. Lots of action and searching throughout.
Under it all a secret must be uncovered so that Dr Marting Harris can go from being unknown to known. One of the best films that I have seen all year so far.
Also starring Diane Kruger, January Jones and Frank Langell.
If you like Taken then see this.
Superb acting, great plot/story. This causes you to actually think about what is going on as you yourself try to uncover the plot as it gradually unravels throughout.
Thanks for reading today more films on the way.
Any comments welcome. Any tips also welcome.

Rango

Rango is a unusual film which at times doesn't make much sense. But overall Johnny Depp ceases to amaze me. His witty humour and excellent voice work make this really enjoyable. I found it really funny at times and would if asked go and see it again.
It is one of those films that I'm sure children will especially enjoy with some hidden adult humour.
4/5 stars for enjoyable plot with funny scenes.
Rating PG
Rango a lonely chameleon finds himself in the desert and comes across a town called Dirt. He realises that now he can be whoever he wants to be so pretends to be somekind of hero which everyone believes. When the only water in the town left disappears because of Rango, he must try to prove that he is actually a hero and recover it before they discover his lies.
Starring Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Bill Nighy, Ned Beatty, Alfred Molina.
Good voice cast for a fun movie.
Go see this if you are a fan of Johnny Depp.

The Fighter

This film is an absolute blast that shows a small town guy in the shadow of his junky brother, can actually get a shot at the title. I have seen this film twice and have really enjoyed it.
It starts off quite slow and maybe slightly boring but it really starts to pick up and become very interesting. It truly is the best boxing movie since Rocky.
I will give this a 4/5 star rating for a right knock out.
Rating 15
Dickie once beat a great boxer in a fluke victory. So he becomes the spotlight of the town and the centre of attention. Mickie his younger brother learned everything he knows about boxing from Dickie but when he becomes a crack addict and starts to miss Mickie's training he starts to really doubt him. Mickie's girlfriend, friends and Dad reackon it is his family that are causing him to get beaten and lose his confidence.
Dickie gets locked up and Mickie now has the chance to be in the spotlight and shine above his brother. A really good, at time emotional and comical film.
I definitely recommend seeing this film.
Amazing acting from Christian Bale who completely transformed himself for this film and most certainly deserves the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

No Strings Attatched

As of yesterday Natalie Portman won an Oscar so I knew to expect some world class acting and she showed why she is an Oscar winner even if she didnt win it for this film. I thought the chemistry between Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman was right on the money.
I will give this film a 3/5 for romantic comedy.
Rating 15
It's a right laugh from start to finish. Some of the quirky comments and laughable scenes really made me smile.
The film is about 2 people who have a strong connection for each other throughout 15 years of their life but only seeing each other once every five years or so. This all changes when Adam (Kutcher) is desperate to have sex and ends up having sex with Emma (Portman) she and him start to really enjoy themselves but want to keep on doing it with no commitments until the time comes when one may feel something.
Good old American romantic comedy.

Please follow for more film reviews coming soon.
Thanks.

Big Mommas Like Father, Like Son

This film was in general quite entertaining. Some funny lines and scenes but may not appeal to everyone. I would say that this would mainly appeal to children but still will be enjoyable for the adults in the cinema. I recommend you see it if you are a fan of the franchise.
Once again Martin Lawrence does a superb job playing the hillarious Hattie Mae Pierce aka Big Momma (Malcolm). I truly think he has a natural comic talent for playing a women. Great supporting cast with Brandon T Jackson as Trent, Malcolms step son. He also pulls off some laughable lines and funny scenes as Big Momma's great neice Charmaine Daisy Pierce. Although unfortunately no Nia Long as Sherry.
I give this 4/5 for a family comedy.
I found myself staying quiet through a lot of the film when others were laughing as most of the comedy was very child friendly.
Rating PG
Trent witnesses a murder so must be put in hiding by Malcolm, so they hide in a private school for the arts; where they must try to locate a hidden flash drive that the criminal is after. Packed with lots of laughs and entertaining cast members, I don't see why you wouldn't like this movie.
Thanks for reading.

Gnomeo and Juliet

I can't think of anything wrong with this film. Its a fantastic family animated film based upon a classic story.
When going to see this I felt out of place as most of the audience were families with young children but I didn't care. As usual the 3D is amazing which makes this film that much better. Some humorous scenes which make you chuckle.
4/5 for a sheer laugh
Rating U (so everyone can see :))
This film contains an all star British cast
Michael Caine
Jason Statham
Julie Walters
Ozzy Osbourne
Matt Lucas
Maggie Smith
Emily Blunt and many other hilarious stars.
The story is about the red gnomes (capulets) and the blue gnomes (montagues). They live in the gardens next to each other and have this bitter rivalry, until one of the blue gnomes (Gnomeo) meets one of the red gnomes (Juliet). They must try and keep their love for each other hidden but this can be difficult when living next door each other.

Just Go With It

I've always liked Adam Sandler, so immediately I knew I would see this. It's one of those films that you expect to be good and they are. Adam is as usual hilarious along with Jennifer Aniston who proves to be an excellent Co star.
4/5 stars for comedy genius.
Basically Adam finds out his fiancé is having an affair. So he keeps the ring on as a sob story to get other women to sleep with him until he finds someone he truly likes. She thinks he is married and he has to make a story involving his secretary/assistant (Aniston) being his ex wife. Truly a great film by Adam Sandler. I strongly recommend you see this.
If you are a Adam Sandler fan and like many of his other movies then this will not disappoint.
Rating 12A
Also starring: Nicole Kidman, Brooklyn Decker.
See it if you enjoyed Grown Ups and The Bounty Hunter.

Keep checking blog for more film reviews.
Thanks.

Paul

I recently went to see Paul this week and was of course expecting something funny and entertaining and was not disappointed. It was non stop laughs. Comedy genius from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. I managed to get into the cinema with a KFC in my bag with a couple of friends so I could eat my dinner while watching the film. This made it even better :)

I would give Paul 5/5 stars for comedy entertainment.
Starring: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Seth Rogen as Paul, Jane Lynch, Sigourney Weaver. These are just some of the huge stars involves in this hilarious movie. Some very rude scenes (language) set in a humourous mood.
Rating 15. Sure to make anyone laugh.
Definate must see for fans of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
See it if you have enjoyed Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz.
A comedy about an Alien trying to find his way home, many references to other Alien related films.
I have been to this for a second time and really enjoyed it still. I strongly recommend this film it is too funny at times.

Coming Soon, Just go with it and Gnomeo and Juliet.
