From the moment this started it was looking good. Very much my sort of thing when they go looking for life in space. Alex Hopper is dating Samantha Shane the daughter of the commanding officer vice admiral Shane of the Navy. His brother forces him to join the Navy. 6 years later and he is a lieutenant. While out on routine Naval training unknown objects crash in to the sea and from here the rollercoaster takes off.
Starring Liam Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgard and Rihanna.
4/5 for sheer awesomeness on sea
Rating 12A
One thing that did disappoint me during this movie was the little screen time I thought Liam Neeson had and for an actor of his ability and calibre it seemed he needed more. Another without too much detail to not ruin the film was it seemed to all end very quick and it didn't seem long before the credits were rolling.
Nevertheless it was a very good film that I enjoyed.
Thanks for your continued reading.
In this Blog will be weekly reviews of films that I have seen at the cinema. 5 star ratings and in general what in my opinion I thought of the film.

The Hunger Games
What some would find a very strange plot and sick storyline, I thought it worked very well and was a very emotional exciting storyline.
The wealthy capital of North America hosts a tournament with 2 participants from each of the 12 poorer districts. A previous rebellion from the districts resulted in them being punished by one boy and girl being chosen at random to be part of the hunger games. The idea is that only one remains.
Starring Stanley Tucci. Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson.
3/5 for exciting survival games.
Rating 12A
Cruel reality TV that turns into a very enjoyable thrill ride. An exciting thriller from start to finish. A very good transfer from paper to the big screen and I myself very much look forward to the sequel.
Thanks for reading and my apologies for no reviews as of late

The Woman in Black
This was a fairly good film that had be confused at start but I was enjoying the unravelling and figuring out what exactly was going on.
Very good acting from Daniel Radcliffe on his first outing since Harry Potter. He steps away from the boy wizard to being a man with a family and his own affairs.
Arthur Kipps has been sent to a small town who all act very odd around him. He has been sent to deal with the paper work at a house on a small island along the sea but when he decides to stay late to get the work needed done quicker, strange unexplainable happenings are going on, courtesy of the mysterious Woman in Black.
3/5 for thrilling entertainment
Rating 12A
Also starring Ciarán Hinds, Janet McTeer, Liz White and Sophie Stuckey
I would say this is a film worth seeing with jumpy scenes throughout, a good low age rated horror movie that anyone will surely fancy.
Thank you for reading.

Safe House
I thoroughly enjoyed this and was very much looking forward to seeing it beforehand. A big fan of both Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds and these two didn't disappoint on screen.
Tobin Frost an ex CIA turned international criminal has gained access to a specific file with classified information on it. He turns himself in as he is being tracked by dangerous assainins. There he is transported to a CIA Safe House where he meets the housekeeper Matt Weston.
4/5 for marvellous action sequences and great twists
Rating 15
Also starring Brendan Gleeson, Vera Farmiga, Sam Shepard and Robert Patrick
Very good film that I certainly recommend seeing. Left me reeling for more when the credits started rolling.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy.

Man on a Ledge
A very pulsating heart racing film. I remember sitting there trying to figure out exactly what was going on and what the whole point of this was, maybe I was slow at figuring it out but eventually it started to unravel. I actually quite enjoyed this despite what I had been told about it mainly negative comments.
Great connection between Sam Worthington and Elizabeth Banks, the chemistry really worked together. Nick Cassidy recently out of prison finds himself on the ledge of a NewYork City skyscraper with an audience down below and apparently time running out.
3/5 for heart pounding intensity
Rating 12A
Also starring Anthony Mackie, Jamie Bell, Titus Welliver and Edward Burns.
I would say go see this as it's worth a look and not a bad hour and a half spent.

Hugo
I didn't actually know anything about this film going into it. This is obvious because at one point I remember saying is it cartoon. Nevertheless I found it to be quite an enjoyable film with a very good cast supporting it.
Hugo a young orphan boy lives in the train station in Paris working the clocks. He is constantly stealing stuff from in order to rebuild and repair something his dad was working on. Very lonely and in need of a friend. An adventure that circles around him and
But with the train station platform officer hot on his heels about having orphans seen in the station taken to the orphanage can Hugo complete what hi intends to.
3/5 for wonderful working cast and exciting emotional plot
Rating PG
Starring Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield, Chloë Grave Moretz and Ray Winstone
Very good film from the Award Winning Martin Scorcese
Probably too late too watch at cinema but definitely worth getting on DVD or Blu ray. If your not sure head down to Blockbusters and give it a go.

New Year's Eve
Although not one of my favourite films of last year even though I saw it this year, still a fairly enjoyable film with some humorous scenes. With it being a rom-com you expect some romantic gestures but to be honest this really isn't my sort of thing.
What I enjoyed the most was the spectacular cast in this with similarities to Valentine's day and Love Actually. Not as good as something like Love Actually but it compares very well to Valentine's Day.
With all sort of connections between all the characters it all centres around the countdown to midnight on New Year in New York City. Cheesy moments that actually did make me laugh and enjoy myself. I just couldn't help feeling uncomfortable about seeing this with a mate haha
3/5 for fantastic cast and comedic moments.
Rating 12A
Starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Halle Berry, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jon Bon Jovi and plenty of more famous stars.
Fairly enjoyable film that's worth seeing. Couples should enjoy watching this together for a romantic night in.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the movie
